State-Province Joint Engineering Laboratory of Power Source Technology for New Energy Vehicle (Xiamen University) is a national Research Platform approved by National Development and Reform Commission in April 2015. Its predecessor was one of the Engineering Laboratories approved by Fujian Development and Reform Commission.
The Engineering Laboratory is committed to meet the country's major strategic needs and the actual demands of the new energy vehicle industry. The mission of the Laboratory has been broadly defined to overcome critical scientific and technical barriers and create transformative battery technology for new energy vehicle. Five D&R departments (Energy Materials, LIB, Fuel cell, Next Generation and BMS), Pilot Production Line and Testing& Analysis Center were set in the laboratory. The Engineering Laboratory will enable industry and university researchers to collaborate on developing cheaper and longer lasting energy-storage devices in the heart of the China New Energy Vehicle industry.
